Instead of one stylist managing every step of your visit, we train our team to collaborate, blending the support of apprentices with the expertise of experienced stylists. This allows us to work efficiently without compromising quality, care, or creativity.

We have created a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Our team-based approach means no matter when you visit, you’ll be cared for by stylists who are familiar with your preferences, history, and hair goals.

My journey in hair began in childhood, but it truly took shape after formal training in Calgary. From there, I spent five years as a Bumble and Bumble educator and top sales leader, gaining insight into both the creative and business sides of the industry.

In 2014, I opened my own studio with a vision of building a collaborative, education-focused space. That vision grew into The Current, a full-service Davines Concept Salon and Hair Academy in downtown Prince George. Since 2020, I’ve proudly developed and led our in-house education programs, mentoring new talent and supporting continued growth across our team.

At The Current, we prioritize sustainability, high-performance products, and an inclusive, team-based approach to client care. My mission is to help raise the standard of hairdressing in the North, empowering stylists and helping every client feel confident, seen, and understood.

Daria offers a full range of colour services and works with one client at a time to ensure a thoughtful, personalized experience. She speaks limited English and communicates with clients using a translation app, so patience during consultations is appreciated.
